Abstract: The major objectives of the proposed research are:
- to assess the Columbia River Treaty Review Process that is being undertaken by the treaty's implementation/management entities for its ability to provide the opportunity for collaborative outcomes for the stakeholders it seeks to engage,
- to similarly assess the work of the Universities Consortium for Columbia River Governance to provide for a collaborative forum and contribute to collaborative outcomes, and
- to present the findings of the research in forums that allow for broad dissemination and consideration (i.e., a white paper, a scholarly journal, the University of Montana's Undergraduate Research Conference, and at the 2012 Universities Consortium symposium, to be held in
Montana on the Flathead Reservation and co-hosted by the Consortium and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes).
