Abstract

The Center will provide summer research fellowships for 2 graduate students. Fellowships will be awarded competitively on the basis of proposals submitted by the students themselves. Because the Center has a goal of broadening its research activities, priority will be given to proposals in fields previously under-represented in the Center's research portfolio (e.g. socio-economic, ecological, policy and land-use studies). Three fellowships were awarded last year in a similar program and the results were positive.
