Abstract
Networking with the many water groups, agencies and organizations in Colorado to apply the results of water research is the primary purpose of the Institute's technology/information transfer program. The technology transfer process makes research-developed technologies available to water users and managers, and then helps adapt them for practical application in solving water problems. This process must be an integral part of any research and development program. User interaction with project investigators and active participation by water leaders, users and managers in the water research program are key strategies. Results of Institute research are thus transferred to decision makers in both the public and private sectors in the shortest time possible.
