Map of eastern Puerto Rico showing selected streamflow, rainfall and meteorological stations and the four WEBB project study watersheds. The Icacos (USGS station 50075000) and Mameyes (USGS station 50065500) watersheds are located in the U.S Forest Service administered Luquillo Experimental Forest, known locally as El Yunque. The Canovanas (USGS station 50061800) and Cayaguas (USGS station 50051310) watersheds are located in the agriculturally-developed and partially urbanized Rio Grande de Loiza basin. This basin provides 50 percent of the drinking water consumed in the metropolitan area of San Juan.
