U.S. Army Environmental Center (USAEC)
The U.S. AEC is a Field Operating Office of Army Headquarters and is the main POC for this document. USAEC water program specialists will provide contacts for technical assistance for developing Army Source Water Assessments and Plans and advise installations on compliance requirements outlined by each state or EPA. U.S. Army Center for Health Protection and Preventative Medicine (USACHPPM)
The USACHPPM is the Army's POC for Health Related Issues in Water Supply Management. USACHPPM provides assistance such as: technical analysis of drinking water sampling data, susceptibility of source water to contamination and emergency management procedures for protection of water sources. U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
The USGS, part of the Department of Interior, can provide assistance to installations through watershed delineation, analysis of flow rates and mapping of other hydrological features that will affect contamination of drinking water sources.
