Summary publications from 51 NAWQA study units sampled in 1991-2001

These publications summarize the findings of fifty-one Study Units sampled by the USGS National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program in 1991-2001. Each publication in the series includes a summary of local water-quality issues and findings; several sections describing local findings in greater detail; and several sections putting local findings in a national context. Issues discussed include nutrients, pesticides, volatile organic compounds, radon, and suspended sediment in ground water and surface water; and semivolatile organic compounds, organochlorine compounds, and trace elements in bed sediment and aquatic biota. In the on-line version, each publication's index page includes the abstract, table of contents, points of contact for additional information, and a link to a downloadable version of the report.
