02353500 ICHAWAYNOCHAWAY CREEK AT MILFORD, GA
LOCATION - Lat 31°22'58", long 84°32'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Baker County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130009, on downstream end of left bank pier of bridge on GA 216 at Milford, 2.2 miles upstream from Alligator Creek, and 5.5 miles upstream from Chickasawhatchee Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 620 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: September 1905 to December 1907, October 1939 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: October 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 150.0 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (levels by Georgia Department of Transportation). From August 29, 1905 to December 31, 1907, a non-recording gage was located at several sites within 450.00 feet of present site at various datums. From October 1, 1939 to November 10, 1941, a non-recording gage was located at site 100 feet downstream at present datum.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District; Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.

Discharges during growing season affected by undetermined amount of irrigation withdrawal. Moderate diurnal fluctuation occurs at low flow.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in July 1916 reached a stage of 17.2 feet, from information by local resident; discharge, 15,500 cfs.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 53,000 cfs, from rating curve extended above 13, 000 cfs based on discharge measurement of flow in main channel and flow-over-road computation of peak flow, July 7, 1994; maximum gage-height recorded, 23.20 feet, from floodmarks, July 7, 1994; minimum daily discharge, 2.9 cfs, July 25, 2012.
