NOTICE (10/15/2012) --As of November 1, 2012, data collection at this well will be discontinued due to funding reductions from partner agencies. Although historic data will remain accessible, no new data will be collected unless one or more new funding partners are found. Users who can contribute funding for the non-Federal share of costs to continue operation of this well should contact Cheryl Dieter of the USGS Maryland, Delaware, DC Water Science Center at (443-498-5537 cadieter@usgs.gov).


LOCATION.--Lat 39°01'52.3", long 76°56'13.0", referenced to North American Datum of 1927, 
   Prince George's County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070010, at National Agricultural Research Center, Beltsville.
AQUIFER.--Patuxent Formation. Aquifer code: 217PTKN.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Dug, brick-lined, observation, water-table well, depth 27.4 ft; casing diameter 40 in., 
   top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined.
DATUM.--Elevation of land surface is 190 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
   Measuring Point: Top of recorder shelter platform 3.11 ft above land surface.
REMARKS.--Maryland Groundwater-Level Monitoring Network observation well.
   U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at well.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1974 to current year.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Maryland Geological  
   Survey, and the U. S. Geological Survey.
This station managed by the MD-DE-DC Water Science Center Baltimore office.
