Drainage area: 17,200 square miles, approximately.
Location: In NW1/4 sec.32, T.4 N., R.6 W., Jackson County, on downstream side of right main pier on U.S. Highway 90, 0.6 mi downstream from Jim Woodruff Dam, 0.6 mi upstream from Mosquito Creek, 1.0 mi west of Chattahoochee, and 106 mi upstream from mouth.
Period of Record: October 1928 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1304. Prior to October 1939, published as "near River Junction." Gage-height records collected at site 0.9 mi downstream October 1919 to September 1925, and at site approximately 100 ft down- stream October 1925 to December 1958 are contained in reports of National Weather Service.
Gage Information: Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (National Weather Service bench mark). Prior to Dec. 16, 1939, water-stage recorder at site 0.9 mi downstream at datum 44.85 ft higher. Dec. 16, 1939 to June 25, 1952, water-stage recorder, June 26, 1952 to June 2, 1954, nonrecording gage, and June 3, 1954 to Oct. 14, 1958, water-stage recorder, at site approximately 100 ft downstream at datum 45.58 ft. Oct. 15, 1958 to Sept. 30, 1987, water-stage recorder at datum 40.58 ft.
