Location: Washington County, on right bank 10 ft downstream from bridge on Alton-Carolina road, 0.8 mi northeast of Wood River Junction, 1.5 mi southwest of Carolina, and 2.9 mi upstream from Wood River.
Period of Record: October 1940 to current year. October and November 1940, monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1301. Prior to October 1943, published as Charles River at Wood River Junction.
Gage Information: Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Datum of gage is 43.86 ft above sea level. Prior to June 19, 1984, at site 10 ft upstream at same datum.
