What has been happening to the number of streamgages in recent years?
Active streamgages includes USGS long-term (network) and short-term (study) continuous discharge stations. Active streamgages with telemetry includes all types of telemetry install in USGS continuous discharge stations. The telemetry can be owned by other agencies. Furnished-record, stage-only, and lake stations are not included in either of the counts.
