Changes in total nitrogen concentrations

Nitrogen concentrations remained stable from 1993 to 2003 in 73 percent and increased in 11 percent of the 137 streams assessed. Nitrogen concentrations increased by more than 50 percent in about 4 percent of the streams assessed.
