Atrazine concentrations by principal aquifer

Atrazine was detected very frequently, but never exceeded the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 3 micrograms per liter. Only 4 percent of the samples for atrazine exceeded 10 percent of the MCL; most of these cases were in agricultural areas. The illustration shown is based upon figure 27 of SIR 2008-5240.
