Oxidation reduction state

Oxidation reduction (Redox) conditions are closely related to nitrate concentration. Oxic water had the highest nitrate concentrations and almost all of the sites that exceeded 10 mg/L were in oxic water. The illustration shown is based upon figure 21 of SIR 2008-5240.
