These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. These files contain information acquired from a digital dataset of the Conterminous United States. This dataset represents geology of the High Plains study region. The original dataset was presented on a CD-ROM intended for use with ARC/INFO. Purpose

The purpose of this digital dataset is to provide geologic context for the High Plains study region. In doing so, it is possible to facilitae anaylsis of water quality and use for this region.
