Purpose

These data delineate the areal extent of the Lower Cretaceous aquifers as defined in the 'Ground Water Atlas of the United States' (U.S. Geological Survey HA 730). The scale of source material is 1:2,500,000 and these data are not intended for use at a larger scale.
