The SF5CF3 Lab Equipment
Shimadzu Mini-2 Gas Chromatograph (GC) with an Electron Capture Detector (ECD), is used for the analysis of SF5CF3, CFC-13, SF6 and CFC-12.
Shimadzu GC-14A GC with two ECDs. This system uses capillary columns and is capable of determining a wide range of halocarbons in water and gases including CFCs, Methyl Chloroform, and CCl4. This GC has also been used to analyze gas and water samples for SF6.
NHU GC-301 GC with an ECD, for the analysis of ultra-trace concentrations of SF6 in ground water and air.
Shimadzu GC-8AIE Gas Chromatograph (GC) with an Electron Capture Detector (ECD), for the analysis of CFCs, N2O, and other halocarbons.
Hewlett Packard GC, with a Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) and a Flame Ionization Detector (FID), for the analysis of the atmospheric gases N2, O2, Ar, CO2, and CH4.
Shimadzu GC-14A GC with a TCD, Photo-Ionization Detector (PID), and FID, for the analysis of He, Ne, H2, Ar or O2, N2, and CH4 in ground water, and in air, including unsaturated-zone air. This GC can also be used for the analysis of a wide range of organic and inorganic gases.
Hewlett Packard GC-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) with Mass Selective Detector 5973, for the analysis of organic compounds dissolved in ground water. The GC has A J&W Scientific 60 m and 0.32 mm capillary column (DB-VRX).
Agilent model 6890A GC with an ECD. The system is used to analyze CFCs and N2O.
