NAME
       hpplot - FESWMS-2DH utility program to plot HPGL graphics file in an
                X window

ABSTRACT
       HPPLOT is a general purpose program to plot HPGL graphics files in
       an X window.  The program converts HPGL commands to X-window
       commands using the DISSPLA graphics subroutine library.

HISTORY
       1993/10/01 - General code cleanup and converted to run on Data
       General AViiON.

DATA REQUIREMENTS
       HPPLOT prompts the user for all required information.

OUTPUT OPTIONS
       Produces a graphical image in an X-window display.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
       HPPLOT is written in Fortran 77 with the following extensions:  use
       of variable names longer than 6 characters, mixed character and non-
       character variables in common blocks, use of explicit length
       declarations (INTEGER*2, INTEGER*4, REAL*4), include files, and
       reference to compiler-dependent system date and time routines.
       Graphics are coded using Computer Associates' DISSPLA library
       references.  Generally, the program is easily installed on most
       computer systems that have access to the DISSPLA graphics library or
       if the graphics are disabled by the user modifying the code.  The
       code has been used on UNIX-based computers.
