Summary: USGS field crews continue measuring high flows in Northern CA

The western parts of Northern CA is receiving a lot of precipitation over the last 24 hours. In counties west of I-5 from San Francisco and north, 2.5 to 3.5 inches of precipitation fell over the past 24 hours with more expected throughout today. The area is also experiencing high wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour for much of today.

Near Santa Rosa, 3 USGS streamgage sites are above flood stage with 3 additional streamgages above moderate flood stage. Today, 2 field crew teams (4 total staff) are measuring Sonoma Creek and nearby creeks in the Santa Rosa area.
