PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (AK GA NC SC) Impacts of Debby: SAWSC (UPDATE 4)

Summary: Flooding continues across portions of the Carolinas and Georgia in the wake of Debby with high flow measurements ongoing.

The SAWSC deployed a total of 14 teams today (28 people) across North Carolina and South Carolina to make high flow measurements and gage repairs associated with the heavy rainfall from Debby across the region. 15 measurements have been made already today with 13 more planned for later today. A peak of record measurement was obtained by the Columbia Office at 02174000. Measurements will continue over the weekend at sites in NC, SC, and coastal GA. 5 gage repairs have been made today. A cableway was compromised by a large tree at 02096960 and will be unusable until cleared and inspected.
