PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (CA) Minor event through out CA

Date: Thu, 01 Feb 2024 16:13:30 EST

Summary: Minor impact from AR through out California

The forecast storm that was supposed to bring significant flooding through out the state did bring a nice precip event but it was no blow out.
In fact it has been more of a 'fizzle' up to this point. We have several crews out getting measurement from most of our FOs and they are reporting flows of minor proportions. The highest so far has been 80K on the Eel River at Scotia (11477000) Not unusual for that site.

We are seeing current totals of 1/2 inch widespread in San Diego County, averages of 1.00 inch plus through out LA and the Inland Empire. Santa Barbara looks to have had the most with precip currently totaling 2-3 inches and a whopping 5.39 over the San Marcos Pass. 1.3 to 2.5 avg on the Central Coast and up into the Russian River basin.

Eureka has a current total at 1 - 2 inches with some decent flows in the larger rivers (Klamath, Eel, and Trinity).
Little if any property damage has been reported and the sky looks to be clearing through out the state as of this evening.

Another storm is forecast for Sat/Sun and on into next week with smaller amounts forecast than was the case for this current storm.
