PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (VT) Minor to moderate flooding in Vermont

Summary: Minor to moderate flooding forecast across Vermont caused by heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours.

Between 2 and 3 inches of rain has fallen on Vermont over the past 24 hours, causing flash flooding throughout the region. Additional rain is expected today, and the National Weather Service is forecasting ten streamgages to experience minor to moderate flooding.

Today, flow measurements are being made by four teams from the New Hampshire-Vermont Office. Additional crews will be deployed tomorrow to collect additional flow measurements and flag reaches for indirect measurements.
