Summary: Response to Hurricane Ian flooding for CFWSC Lutz office.

Historic flooding continues in central Florida following Hurricane Ian. Several gages in and around the Peace River basin are experiencing period of record flooding with levels still continuing to rise in many locations.

There are currently 14 gages damaged or destroyed for this area following the hurricane.

Yesterday, 13 field personnel were able to make measurements at 11 stations. 7 of those measurements were POR maximums with several more than doubling the previous high measurement.

Today, 18 field personnel are attempting to make measurements at 17 stations and repair 3 gages.
