PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (FL)

Summary: Status and response to Hurricane Ian for CFWSC Ft. Myers area.

Geographic area is Southwest Coast of Florida from North Port south into the Everglades.

All Ft. Myers staff are accounted for and safe. The Ft. Myers office is currently still inaccessible. Currently working with the staff from the CFWSC Davie office for coverage.

Currently about 17 gages were impacted with about 11 not transmitting at all. Working to get crews to the gages as soon as safe to do so.

Almost all operational sites are experiencing high flows at this time, working with staff from CFWSC Davie office to begin collecting high flow measurements.
