SUBJECT:  INFORMATION--Office of Surface Water Policy System

This memorandum is a reminder that all current Office of Surface
Water Technical Memorandums are available for reading or copying
through the Distributed Information System.  To access the
memorandums, it is necessary to be a registered user on QVARSA,
the National Center Prime.  Once logged in, the user need only
type the command SWP to use the interactive system, which provides
all necessary prompts and instructions.

In the 1990 water year, the policy system was accessed 366 times
by 160 individual users.  Of these, 52 users had 352 memorandums
sent by EDOC to their mail boxes.   The memorandum sent most was
75.16, regarding flood estimation from channel geometry.  Second
most sent was 88.07, pertaining to the proper operation of a
crest-gage network, followed by 89.07 and 89.12, on current-meter
spin tests and publishing flood-frequency estimates, respectively.
