Subject: Programs and Plans—Release of NASQAN ad hoc Technical Committee Report

The Office of Water Quality is pleased to inform you that the draft report from the NASQAN ad hoc Technical Committee has been completed and
is available for your information and review on the Committee intranet site at: http://in.water.usgs.gov/nawqa/ntc/ntc.html. The report is
available under the link "July 18, 2007, draft of Committee report" at the top of the page. A 2-page information sheet summarizing the report
is also available on the Committee web site (http://in.water.usgs.gov/nawqa/ntc/nasqan.information.sheet.071607.pdf)
and is also attached to this memo.

Two cyber briefings have been scheduled to present and discuss the major findings and recommendations from the draft report with WRD staff.

The briefing dates and times are:

Monday, July 23 from 1:00-2:00 pm EDT

Wednesday, August 1 from 1:00-2:00 pm EDT.

call in 5 minutes before the scheduled start time;

(B) Webex Instructions: Please login to the meeting on Webex about 5-10 minutes before 1 pm so that we can get started on time.

Look for " NASQAN design review (20) Host: David Reutter” on Monday, July 23rd or Wednesday, August 1st, in the "Browse
Meeting" window.

People in the same office are encouraged to share a webex connection as there is a limit on the number of USGS WebEx connections available.

If you have questions, comments, or concerns related to the technical and operational issues discussed in the report, please send them
directly to Charlie Crawford, the Committee chairman (cgcrawfo@usgs.gov, 317-290-3333 x176). Because this report is central to preparing NASQAN
program guidance for FY 08, all comments must be received by Friday, August 17.
