Fenske, S.A. Leake, and David E. Prudic The subject report describes RES1, an additional package for MODFLOW that simulates leakage between reservoirs and the underlying ground-water system. The RES1 Package uses linear interpolation to calculate reservoir stage for each time step within a stress period from the user-specified values of stage at the beginning and end of the stress period. During a time step, RES1 calculates leakage at all cells for which the reservoir stage is greater than the user-specified values of land-surface elevation. We recommend that this report be brought to the attention of technical and management personnel concerned with ground-water modeling studies. To obtain additional copies of the report, contact Stan Leake in the Arizona District (phone: 520 670-6540, extension 259, electronic mail: SALEAKE). The RES1 Package has been incorporated into the version of MODFLOW that the Hydrologic Analysis Software Support (HASS) Team distributes via the World Wide Web.
