OFFICE OF GROUND WATER TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 86.06

Subject: PUBLICATIONS--List of "Selected reports that include
computer programs produced by the U.S.
                        Geological Survey for modelling ground-
                        water problems"

Thomas Reilly and Chuck Appel compiled the attached list of 33
selected reports that document computer programs for modeling flow
and/or solute- or heat-transport in ground-water systems.
Information is given on the field conditions that the programs can
handle; the numerical approximation procedures used; an indication
of the extent of field applications of the program; where copies
of the report can be ordered; and, in some cases, where a tape
copy of the computer code can be ordered. The selection criteria
for developing this list included that the report be published and
contain a listing of the computer program.

While this list of selected reports is intended primarily for your
information, it also may be useful in responding to requests from
people outside of the Water Resources Division for information on
computer programs available for analyzing ground-water problems.

We plan to update this list periodically, as new programs become
available.
