Subject:  PUBLICATIONS--Release of a New Report Entitled "Regional
                        Aquifer System Analysis Program of the
                        U.S. Geological Survey--Summary of
                        Projects, 1978-84" edited by Ren Jen Sun

The subject report has recently been released as U.S. Geological
Survey Circular 1002.  Copies are being sent to all District and
Subdistrict Offices.

This report contains information of formation of the Regional
Aquifer Systems Analysis (RASA) Program, discusses approaches and
objectives, and summarizes the status of each project of the
program through 1984.  Hopefully, this report will provide
sufficient information on the RASA program to help you answer
inquiries of the program.
