Subject:  PUBLICATIONS - Procedures for ground water monitoring
                         at solid waste disposal facilities.
                         EPA/530/SW-611.

Copies of the subject manual were furnished at our request for
distribution to field offices.  It was prepared for EPA by two
contractors and reviewed by a panel of State and Federal workers
in solid waste and hydrogeology.  The manul discusses monitoring
concepts, techniques for locating and construction of sampling
points, character of leachate, indicators of leachate in ground
water, and analytical methods for ground-water samples.

The Ground Water Branch has only enough copies for initial
distribution.  Single copies may be obtained from Solid Waste
Information, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Cincinnati,
Ohio 45268.
