Subject:  GROUND WATER - Ground-water quality network design

The enclosed report, "Elements needed in design of a ground-water
quality monitoring network in the Hawaiian Islands" by K. J. Takasaki,
USGS WSP 2041, is being sent to all WRD districts by the Western Regional
Headquarters at the request of the Ground Water Branch.  The
report represents an effort to organize and improve the ground-
water quality monitoring activity in the Hawaii district, and
should be of topical interest to all districts facing similar
monitoring needs.
