Subject: PUBLICATIONS: Xerox print of paper on Atlantic Coastal
Structure
Attached is a paper by R. E. Sheridan (Geology, Sept. 1974,
Vol. 2, No. 9, p. 465-468) of the University of Delaware offering
an interpretation of the rock structure of the Atlantic
continental margin. This work will be of special interest to
WRD geologists and ground-water hydrologists in coastal states.
Note that it is based on the tectonic and structural concepts of
Philip M. Brown, research geologist, of the Water Resources
Division (Brown, P. M., Miller, J. A., and Swain, F. M., 1972,
Structural and stratigraphic framework, and spatial distribution
of permeability of the Atlantic Coastal Plain, North Carolina to
New York: U.S. Geological Survey Prof. Paper 796, 79 p.).
