Attached is a summary by Don Brown of the Virginia district of an
interesting experimental study of the feasibility of temporary or
cyclic storage of fresh water in a salt-water aquifer in Coastal
Plain sediments at Norfolk, Virginia.  With the growing interest
in innovative uses of "underground space" for water and waste
management, the summary of experimental results will be of
interest to you and your staff.
