GROUND WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 73.03

Subject:  INFORMATION - Type curves for the solution of single-
                        boundary ground water problems.

Ground Water Branch Technical Memorandum No. 73.02 announced
availability of a supply of type curves to a scale of three inches
per log cycle for the solution of single-boundary ground water
problems.

In addition, we call attention to Professional Paper 708, entitled
"Ground-Water Hydraulics," by S. W. Lohman, published in 1972,
which includes the type curves of Stallman at a scale of 1.85
inches per cycle.  Log paper to this scale is available on the
market (such as K & E 46-7522).  Explanation of the relatively
simple method devised by Stallman for the solution of single-
boundary problems involving either a source or a sink is given on
pages 59-61 of Lohman's paper.
