Subject:  PUBLICATIONS - Determining the Ratio of Horizontal to
                         Vertical Permeability by Aquifer-Test
                         Analysis, by Edwin P. Weeks.

The attached paper by Ed Weeks, published in Water Resources
Research, describes a method, using partially penetrating
production and observation wells, for determining the ratio of
horizontal to vertical permeability.  Where such an array of
production and observations wells is available, the method allows
the calculation of the horizontal-vertical permeability ratio
using type-curve solutions.

Additional copies of the subject paper are available only from AGU
currently; however, a slightly modified version of the paper will
be issued in the Survey's Techniques of Water-Resources
Investigations series in the near future.
