GROUND WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 68.06
To: Regional Hydrologists and District Chiefs
From: Chief, Ground Water Branch
Subject: GROUND WATER - Integrating ground water into basinwide
water resources investigations
The attached memorandum, prepared by John G. Ferris, is
distributed in recognition of the widespread current interest in
conjunctive development of surface and ground water and the
treatment of the ground-water resource in basin planning
activities. The memorandum was prepared in response to a request
from the Indiana District but should be of general interest in
that it highlights characteristics and parameters of a ground-
water flow system requisite to any quantitative evaluation of a
basin.
