GROUND WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 67.10

To: District Chiefs and Staff Officials, WRD

From: Chief, Ground Water Branch

Subject: PUBLICATIONS - GROUND WATER, Journal of the Technical
                                       Division, National Water
                                       Well Association.

At the annual Exposition of the National Water Well Association
held in Columbus, Ohio, last October, Dr. J. H. Lehr of the
Geology Department, Ohio State University, was appointed editor of
GROUND WATER. Dr. Lehr and Mr. Morris Deutsch, Chairman of the
Technical Division, have informed us of their desire to encourage
Survey authors of papers pertaining to all aspects of ground water
to consider possible publication in GROUND WATER, and we are happy
to relay their request to District personnel.

Up to now the papers published in the journal have tended to be
largely technical and devoted specifically to ground water.
Inasmuch as the membership of NWWA and the readership of GROUND
WATER include a broad variety of people interested in both
technical and "socioeconomic" aspects of both ground water and
water in general, the publishers feel that the journal could serve
as an excellent medium for papers of all sorts relating to ground
water.

The Editor of GROUND WATER will welcome inquiries from authors
planning papers on various aspects of ground water and will
discuss with them the nature of papers especially desired and the
content and format most suitable for publication in GROUND WATER.
Inquiries should be directed to Dr. J. H. Lehr, Editor, GROUND
WATER, Ohio State University, Department of Geology, Mendenhall
Laboratory, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
