Subject: A List of Materials Useful for Training in Ground-Water Hydrology
  
The Office of Ground Water has put together a list of materials that are 
available to be used for training in ground-water hydrology. The list is 
provided as an attachment and is also available on the Intranet at 
http://water.usgs.gov/usgs/ogw/training.html. Most of the materials listed are 
available to the public. We hope that this information is helpful to 
individuals and offices providing local training.
  
In addition to the sources provided on the list, many individuals have 
developed class notes and computer graphics for training classes. Although 
these are not necessarily self-contained and are informal (not approved by the 
Director), various individuals may find them useful in developing new training 
courses. In an effort to facilitate this internal exchange, the Office of 
Ground Water will provide an Intranet page that lists links to these types of 
materials. This web page is also available on the Intranet on the Office of 
Ground Water training page at http://water.usgs.gov/usgs/ogw/training.html. If 
anyone would like to provide a link to his or her online training materials, 
please email the link to Thomas Reilly (tereilly@usgs.gov).
