This data set contains the depth-to-water contours derived from

to develop a spatial ground-water data base for Carson Valley.

			<supplinf>Introduction
This data set, created in cooperation with the State of Nevada
Division of Environmental Protection, contains depth-to-water (DTW)
contours developed to be included in a spatial ground-water data base
in Carson Valley, west-central Nevada. The DTW contours were hand
drawn and digitized in 1998 using a 1:62,500-scale mylar separate base
map. The base map is a mosaic of four 1:62,500-scale maps; Carson
City, Nev. (1950), Dayton, Nev. (1956), Freel Peak, Calif.-Nev.
(1956), and Mt. Siegel, Nev.-Calif. (1957).
Reviews
The digital data in this data set has gone through a rigorous,
multi-level, quality-control process that ensures the data set
is a fair representation of the source map. If errors are
found in this data set, it will be appreciated if the
user would pass this information to the Metadata_Contact.
Two reviews were done. The reviewers were asked to check metadata
and other documentation files for completeness and accuracy.
Reviewers were asked to check the topological consistency, tolerances,
projections, and geographic extent.
