This data set was aggregated from a compilation of geologic maps of the Southwest Regional GAP Analysis Project (ReGAP) along with California geology and the very southern portion of Oregon and Idaho geology. This dataset was created for use by the Southwest Principal Aquifer (SWPA) study to help characterize conceptual models of case studied National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program alluvial basins as well as the possible natural and anthropogenic factors that may affect water quality.
