<descript>
This digital geospatial data set consists of contours of lines of equal apparent thickness of the Trinidad Sandstone, the interval between the tops of the Trinidad Sandstone and the Pierre Shale, in Las Animas County, Colorado. The U.S. Geological Survey developed this data set as part of a cooperative project with the Colorado Water Conservation Board. Sources and interpretation of the data that were used to prepare this map are described in Scientific Investigation Report 2006-5129 (Watts, 2006).
<purpose>This data set was created to display the generalized apparent thickness of the Trinidad Sandstone in Las Animas County, Colorado.</purpose>

A geostatistical model of the apparent thickness of the Trinidad Sandstone was generated using the using the Geostatistcal Analyst model extension.
