These files contain information acquired from a digital dataset
of the Conterminous United States. This dataset represents geology
of the High Plains study region. The original dataset was presented
on a CD-ROM intended for use with ARC/INFO. The files presented here
consist of HPGEO--ARC/INFO export format files, hpgeology_shp--shape-
files of coverages and hpgeosdts--SDTS formatted covers. The folder
HPGEO contains amls, and color conventions for the coverages. They are
not necessary to display the coverages and are not included in the SDTS
folder or the shapefile folder. However, they are included in the ARC/
INFO folder.
			</abstract>
			<purpose>The purpose of this digital dataset is to provide geologic context
for the High Plains study region. In doing so, it is possible to
facilitae anaylsis of water quality and use for this region.
