				<procdesc>Water velocity data was collected using an accoustic doppler velocimeter.  The horizontal location of the velocity measurements was determined using either a total station or real-time kinematic global positioning satellite system.  Compass direction of flow was noted and the velocimeter was oriented into the flow for velocity measurement.  Raw data was output to a text format, then used to construct Geographical Information System in a Shapefile format.</procdesc>
