The stream is heavily influenced by urban runoff and shows characteristic flashy streamflow and poor water quality commonly associated with urban streams. This data set represents the locations where solid samples were collected. This data set was developed as part of an USGS carbon study that examines sources of carbon-rich organic material along Fanno Creek. In order to quantify what type of material was present in the stream, discrete solid samples were collected, including instream sediment, floodplain sediment, and leaf litter.
