The data base generally contains logs for wells drilled since 1984, however, some basins have information about older wells. No attempts were made to edit or alter the coordinate or attribute information in the data base as presented by NDWR on the date of download. These data were created to support the Basin and Range Carbonate Aquifer Systems Study. The intended uses of this data set include, but are not limited to, natural resource modeling, mapping, and visualization applications. Records with utm values equal to zero were removed from the display using the definition query environment in ArcMap. 2. The XY event was exported to a personal geodatabase feature class. The coordinate system of the XY event projected to UTM Zone 11, NAD 83 during export. 3. The tables "contractor" and "driller" were imported to the personal geodatabase. 4. Coded value domains were built and associated with the appropriate attribute fields.
