Fields were visited to confirm that irrigation had occurred in remotely delineated polygons. The irrigation method, crop type, and water source for each field also was inventoried. The location of each delineated field was checked using a handheld GPS. Digital photographs were taken of each field and the bearing and time of each photograph was documented. The intended use of this data set was to provide a record of field verification for the Irrigated Acreage Within the Basin and Range Carbonate-Rock Aquifer System, White Pine County, Nevada and Adjacent Areas in Nevada and Utah polygons. Field verification was based off of the orginal irrigated acreage object_id. This is an internal feature number assigned by the ArcGIS software that changes as features are edited. Therefore, Field_ID numbers in the IrrigationFieldCheck point feature class do not match the IR_ID or the F_ID in the irrigated acreage data set.
